Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 October 2026
This policy explains what information Mia (operated by Linto James) collects and how it is used.
Information we collect
- Dashboard visitors: your name and mobile number (entered at login), and the times you log in and visit the dashboard.
- Phones running the Mia app (only when GPS sharing is switched on): location (latitude, longitude, accuracy) and the time, sent about once a minute together with the pairing code — including in the background, when the app is closed or not in use. The app asks for consent and shows a notification the whole time sharing is on. It collects no other data from the phone.
- Payments: your track-credit balance, and for each purchase the pack, amount, and Razorpay order and payment IDs. Card, UPI and bank details are handled only by Razorpay.
How we use it
- To log you in and keep you logged in (a secure cookie, for up to 30 days).
- To show a paired phone's location to people who have its pairing code.
- To add and use your track credits, and to handle refunds.
- So the site owner can see who has used the dashboard.
We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
Services we use
- Firebase Authentication (Google) — sends and checks the SMS login code.
- Google Maps — displays the map.
- Razorpay — processes payments.
- Vercel and Redis Cloud — host the website and store the data above.
How long we keep it
- Location: only the latest location and the last 50 location points per pairing code, deleted after 30 days without updates.
- Login sessions: 30 days.
- Visitor, credit and payment records: kept while the service runs, or as long as needed for accounting and legal reasons.
Your choices
- Switch off GPS sharing in the Mia app, or uninstall it, to stop sending location.
- Email us to see or delete the information we hold about your mobile number.
